It’s no surprise that CBD has been trending within the last year. I started using CBD back in 2018 and have been hooked ever since to help me better my sleep, help me stay calm and lower my stress levels. At first I just thought it was a hoax and once I started supplementing it into my daily and nightly routine, I really noticed a shift. If you’re curious about reading more about it and how it’s affected me, head to my post here. But today, I have something very fun to share with you… CBD-infused chocolates.
I think if the food industry is going to add CBD to anything, chocolate is the best option. It’s the perfect night-time treat and tastes phenomenal. After all, so many people usually crave chocolate before bed anyway 🙂
So many people have messaged me how to mask the taste of CBD and I think if you can’t take it as a concentrate, chocolate is the next best option. When Good Day Chocolate reached out to me to partner with them, I was not only super excited to try their new line of CBD chocolates but try a brand I had my eyes on for years. I remember first finding Good Day’s products in line at Whole Foods back when I worked for the company in college and was always so intrigued.
They make chocolate supplements for kids (even probiotic chocolates!) and adults ranging from sleep, energy, calm and turmeric. All of their products are made with Fair Trade dark or milk chocolate. Each chocolate has something beneficial added to it, say for example their Energy Chocolate Supplement has 20mg of caffeine, green tea and B vitamins. One box of chocolates is the equivalent to one cup of coffee so if you’re feeling really adventurous… eat ‘em all up!
As for their CBD+ line, they have regular CBD, Calm CBD, and Sleep CBD. I know a ton of people always ask “Can you take CBD in the day?” and the answer is YES! No, it will not make you fall asleep or pass out within minutes because none of these products contain THC (marijuana). Each bottle has 300mg per CBD which is what most brands of CBD carry in a single concentrated bottle. One candy coated piece has 10mg of cbd so if you’re like me and need a little more than 10mg (I personally find that 50mg is the best dosage for me), you can have a few chocolates before bed. The best part is they taste like the candy-covered chocolates you’d get at your local drug store but with none of the funky additives or artificial colors.
Now that Valentine’s Day is coming up too these would make for a cute gift with some flowers for your significant other.
You can find all 3 of the CBD chocolates from Good Day on their website here and check my page on Instagram to see more reasons why I love them. You can also use code “CBDCHICKPEA” for a discount!
Thank you to Good Day Chocolate for sponsoring this post. All thoughts and opinions are my own and these are products I truly love and stand by. Thank you to the brands that make Chickpea in the City possible!
