This post was sponsored by and in collaboration with So Delicious Dairy Free. Thank you for supporting Chickpea in The City and making this post possible.
To preface this, I have loved So Delicious Dairy Free yogurt alternatives since I was a freshman in college, just a few months prior to Chickpea in The City becoming what it is and before my love for posting about healthy products for all lifestyles came to be a thing. I remember making parfaits and chia puddings in my dorm room with So Delicious’ yogurt alternatives and to this day, I still reach for it as a dairy-free variety to have on hand in my fridge. It’s fun to see how a product like So Delicious has lasted so long in my life and to this day, THIS is why I do what I do. Now onto the snacking!
I love sharing with you guys the products that inspired me to create my blog and share with you how healthy eating and snacking can be easy, fun and overall exciting with just a few ingredients and options on hand, which is why I’m sharing today my go-to snack.
People often ask me what my favorite snacks are, what I take with me to travel or what I have near my desk at work and I wish I could share the laundry list of items with you but honestly, when it comes down to it – yogurt, fruit and granola is my favorite combo through and through. Even when I’m traveling, I’ll find the nearest Whole Foods and grab a So Delicious yogurt alternative off the shelf, bring a bag of granola with me in my purse and buy a banana or carton of berries to make the parfait of my dreams – anytime and anywhere.
I mean along with oh-so-delicious, how Insta-worthy is this!?
What I love most about this snack is that I can always switch it up with whatever fruit or granola I’m using and can match it to the yogurt (so say you have the blueberry yogurt on hand and add a few fresh blueberries to it with a chocolate granola) or even better – I’ll use the use So Delicious’ Dairy Free Unsweetened yogurt alternative (available in both single serve and 24oz sizes) and add my toppings of choice to bring out the flavor. It’s unlike anything else.
Their line of dairy-free yogurt alternatives use organic coconuts and simple ingredients that are Non-GMO Project Verified, Certified Gluten-Free and Certified Vegan so you can feel good about eating them without worrying about the breakouts from dairy or the bloat that you might feel after consuming a usual dairy-based yogurt. They’re also thicker than most non-dairy yogurts due to the coconut which is a huge plus for me!
Along with adding fruit and granola to my single serve yogurts to nom on during work meetings or coffee breaks with friends, here are a few other ways I love incorporating So Delicious into my life:
- Adding a homemade gluten-free banana muffin to a bowl with strawberries and the So Delicious strawberry yogurt alternative on top
- Making paleo waffles from my favorite box mix and instead of using syrup, doing a few spoonfuls of the vanilla flavor topped with cacao nibs
- Tossing an entire unsweetened single serve yogurt alternative into my go-to peanut butter and jelly smoothie for added thickness and creaminess from the coconut (you can find the full recipe to this smoothie on my Instagram).
I’m happy to share these tips and tricks of my favorite snacks with you guys to show that eating dairy-free doesn’t have to be difficult and neither does snacking, and with So Delicious truly #nothingcompares. Lastly, never be afraid to think outside of the box when it comes to snacking and think of what you can bring with you from home or buy out.
I always have nut butters, granolas or dried fruit packets in my bag so if I’m headed to work I can pop in Whole Foods to grab some So Delicious. All it requires is a little bit extra thinking and you’re a dairy-free snacking pro.
Among their delicious yogurt alternatives (available in 13 delicious flavors) you absolutely must try their line of cashew-milk based frozen desserts because that’s another snack of theirs I will forever be obsessed with.
Let me know what your favorite ways to eat So Delicious are and if you have a favorite product from them because I love sharing mine with you!
